The wedding photography team of John Tannock and Laura Smulktis have earned another Blue Ribbon Wedding Album at the 2007 Print Competition of the Guild Of Professional Photographers Of the Delaware Valley. The Album Category is judged for photographic image quality, story telling content, and layout style. John and Laura have entered an album each year that they have teamed together to create wedding photography with stunning artistry, emotional impact, and attention to detail going well beyond what their clients have ever expected. Honored by seasoned National Certified Judges, John and Laura have achieved an unprecedented status unique to the Guild - 4 times in a row, Best Of Show in the wedding album category and 5 times in a row, a blue ribbon album entry.

Honored by the Professional Photographers Of America....
John Tannock and Laura Smulktis have been honored by the Professional Photographers Of America at Imaging USA, PPA's National Convention in San Antonio,Texas. Their combined entry in the Album Category was chosen from hundreds of entries for exhibition. Imaging USA is the largest and most prestigious Photography exhibit in the world. John and Laura are proud to have their work accepted for exhibit among the work of the world's best photographers. Their entry is unique in that it was not a wedding album, but rather a casual beach portrait session. Selected images from the session were designed as a Guest Signature Book - a new trend in guest books that truly aren't "your parent's guest book". Each book is custom designed and tailored to the images selected and designed with open spaces for guest sentiments.

May, 2006--This image was exhibited at the 2006 Professional Photographers of America convention in Austin, Texas and was also chosen as one of the "Best of The Best". The image was als published in the 2006 Loan Collection book. The top 400 images of over 6, 000 submissions are chosen for this honor each year. Just click the photography to enlarge.

The photograph was made at Scotland Run Country Club in Washington Twsp., NJ on a cold, damp, rainy and or course, windy day. With not much to work with for a wedding portrait session, John and Laura asked the bride if she would be willing to walk out into the rain storm with her wedding party if we gave them enough umbrellas to cover everyone. The wedding party was all for it. When they hit the wind line (it was blowing about 30 mph) umbrellas flew, and the moment was captured forever.

For the third year in a row, John and Laura have won Best in Show for Album Design at the Delaware Valley Guild of Professional Photographers annual competition.

This winter, John again received the award for "Best Commercial/Illustrative Image" in the The Guild of Professional Photographers of the Delaware Valley print competition.

In March, John and Laura were asked to photograph the cover of "My Wedding" Magazine. The Spring/Summer 2004 issue hit newstands this April.
